COLTSPLOSION!

AFC Champions

Wow.

Exhale.

Deep breath.

I’m not sure that I would say this had it turned the other way — but that was one of the best playoff — conference championship — games I’ve ever seen.

And if the Colts were going to beat New England — finally — wouldn’t the win have to come in a game like that?

Amazing. I’m a little drained, but will be back later in the week.

Gameballs: Peyton Manning (good job), Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, Dallas Clark, Rob Morris, Bobby Sanders, Bryan Fletcher, Marlin Jackson, and Antoine Bethea. Finally, of course — the entire Colts offensive line. Outstanding job.

AFC Champions. Finally. Congratulations.

  1. Colts open as 7.5 point faves?? I swear, if a 14-2 team ever got less respect, it would be this year’s Bears. I hope the game is as well played as last night’s was. Did you catch Belechik’s lack of handshake (and almost shoving Manning off) when Manning went to seek him out after the game? Nice sweatshirt, ass.

  2. My bad, they were only 13-3. I didn’t really count (or forgot) the egg on the last Sunday night vs. the Packers.

  3. Glad for your Colts, but Go Bears.

  4. I forgot I have friends who like the Bears. Good job. How is Grossman any worse a QB than Matt Hasselbeck, BTW? Shut up, media.

I don’t think it will be a particularly high scoring game, but the Ravens loss must be the template for the 8 points. The Bears have a more active secondary than the Ravens. Glad its not indoors - the RCA Dome actually helped Samuel and Hobbs keep pace with Wayne and Marvin.

  5. And by the way - no way did Mike Lewis fumble that kickoff. What a horrible call. Hasn’t MLB got the memo from the other major sports, that grease the skids to get Chicago teams into the championship games?
